East Knox starts strong with First Quarter wins. | ekschools.org

East Knox Local Schools made a strong start to the 2025-2026 school year with academic achievements across every grade level.  

East Knox Elementary School has recently earned a PBIS Bronze Award, celebrating its commitment to fostering positive behavior and a supportive school culture. 

In addition, the Junior High Spelling Bee showcased impressive talents. Seventh grader Jace Daugherty emerged as the winner, with Audrey Williams as runner-up. In eighth grade, Callie May claimed first place, followed by Aidyn Phom. These students also earned spots on the Honor Roll.

Other students who made it to the First Quarter Honor Roll are listed below:

3rd Grade honorees include Jalycia Beatty and William Doane. Straight-A students are Jaxon Bible and Trinity Reese.

4th Grade Honor Roll recipients include Avery Nelson and Titus Levier. Some of the Straight-A students are Arayah Hanna, Presley Hull, and Klaire Willis.

5th Grade Honor Roll includes Charlotte Hoobler and Isaac Bland. Straight-A students include Spelling Bee winner Jackson Daugherty and runner-up Hollis Banks 

6th Grade Honor Roll features Spelling Bee winner Marley Moore and Nash Williams. Straight-A students include Cecelia Pratt and Jace Miller.

7th Grade Honor Roll includes Blake Fields and Koran Logan. Straight-A students are Caiden Cottrell, Elaina Koontz, and Jordon Adams.

8th Grade Honor Roll includes Kora Willis and Dixon Weaver. Straight-A students include Allison Guinsler and Annelise Kightlinger.

Among Freshmen, Honor Roll students include Alexia Atkins and Miles Mitchell. Straight-A students include Ellie Clark and Lucas Colopy.

Sophomore Honor Roll recipients include Miles Colopy and Alexander Guinsler. Straight-A students are Curtis Divan and Kenlie Moore.

Juniors and Seniors on the Honor Roll include Ava Page and Rylan Winkler. Straight-A students include Alexia Atkins and Miles Mitchell.

The top spellers from each grade will advance to the Knox County Spelling Bee, where they’ll compete for the opportunity to represent East Knox at the next level. If they are unable to attend the Knox County Spelling Bee, their grade-level runner-ups will step in to represent East Knox

"They all did a fantastic job!" East Knox Local Schools stated. "Should Jackson or Marley not be able to attend the county bee, Hollis Banks, fifth grade runner up, and Maddie Dale, sixth grade runner up will represent their respective grade levels. Good Luck Bulldogs!!"
