According to reports, freshman quarterback Parker Proper delivered a composed performance, completing 8 of 17 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 65 yards. Danville accumulated 225 total yards, relying heavily on a balanced ground attack led by Cyren Wallace with 65 yards and Nolan Ridgway, who contributed 22 yards along with both of Danville’s rushing touchdowns.
Proper's only scoring pass connected with Aidan Mickley, who had an impressive all-purpose effort with 68 total yards and a receiving touchdown. Danville's defense established dominance throughout the night, amassing 103 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, and three interceptions. Jacob Byers led with 19 tackles, while Sylas Mizer added two sacks. Wesley Payne, Carson Proper, and Mickley each intercepted passes to halt Waterford's drives.
Waterford quarterback Avery Pottmeyer threw for 104 yards and both Wildcat touchdowns but was intercepted twice during the game. Hayden Jones led all players with 114 total yards, including 78 on the ground.
