The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team achieved a notable victory against Grace College, ranked 20th, in a conference match held on October 25 in Winona Lake, Indiana. The game began with Grace taking an early lead at the 24:58 mark. However, Chucho Salgado equalized for MVNU before halftime.

In the second half, freshman Baba Sarr scored to put MVNU ahead. Grace quickly responded to level the score at 2-2. With 21 minutes left, Grace regained the lead with a header. Miguel Bello soon tied it again for MVNU at 3-3. Kevin Ngula then assisted Bello for the winning goal, securing a 4-3 victory for the Cougars.

Despite being outshot by Grace 19-13, MVNU's Brayden Pierson made five important saves to help secure the win.

MVNU will next face Huntington University on October 29 in Huntington, Indiana. The university is known for its commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth and serves nearly 2,200 students from various regions.
