Danville High School's football team faced a narrow defeat on Friday night, losing 26-22 to Mt. Gilead in a nonconference game.
According to the match report, star running back Cyren Wallace was instrumental for Danville, accumulating 108 total rushing yards and scoring a touchdown. Quarterback Parker Proper contributed with 55 passing yards and another touchdown, keeping the Blue Devils competitive throughout the game.
