Centerburg's volleyball team maintained its strong start to the season on Tuesday night, defeating Cardington in straight sets with scores of 25-11, 25-7, and 25-9.

According to the team's performance report, the Trojans improved their record to 4-1 by relying on a balanced offense and steady defensive play. Junior outside hitter Jazmyn Larimore led the team with eight kills and ten digs, contributing significantly on both ends of the court. Senior middle hitter Sedona Weisbrod added seven kills and eight digs, while sophomore hitter Zoe Evans also contributed seven kills to complete the Trojans' attack.

The head coach noted that the team's effort reflected progress in an area that has been a focus during practice. "We have been working hard on consistency and the team showed that during this match," said the coach.

The Trojans established control early in the opening set through aggressive serving and strong net play, which helped them build momentum. They maintained this dominance throughout the second and third sets, limiting Cardington's opportunities to rally.

With this victory, Centerburg now prepares for a home match against Mt. Gilead on Thursday as they aim to extend their early-season success.
