The Danville Blue Devils football program is concluding its final week of preseason preparation with high energy and a renewed sense of focus. On Friday, the team will face Northridge in its last scrimmage before officially commencing the 2025 season.

According to coaches and teammates, this week has been marked by hard work and discipline, recognizing both leadership and effort as the squad builds toward the fall. Danville announced its team captains for the upcoming season: senior Carson Proper, senior Landon King, junior Owen Gronberg, and sophomore Cyren Wallace.

Head coach and staff SAY the selections reflect the group’s commitment both on and off the field. With two seniors, a junior, and even a sophomore taking leadership roles, the Blue Devils are emphasizing a balance of veteran guidance and youthful energy.

The program also highlighted its "practice players of the week," a recognition given to athletes who stood out in effort, discipline, and consistency during workouts. This week’s honorees include senior Wade Nissley, sophomore Jacob Byers, senior Ashton Spaulding, and junior Chris Mosher.

As Danville prepares for the scrimmage against Northridge, the team continues to stress preparation, toughness, and unity — all qualities that will define its season.
