Danville 200 Club donates large sum toward school athletic upgrades

The Danville 200 Club has continued its longstanding support of local athletics with two donations totaling $8,000.

According to the club representative, Rich Loney, a $4,000 check was presented to Jill Lyons and the Danville Athletic Department. This contribution will help fund new gym mats for the Danville High School gymnasium.

In a second contribution, Loney awarded another $4,000 check to Lanna Staats of the Danville Athletic Boosters and Charlie Duncan of Danville Softball. The donation is intended to aid the ongoing retaining wall project at DARCI Field.

School officials expressed their gratitude for the 200 Club’s continued dedication to improving facilities and supporting student-athletes. "We’re incredibly thankful for their commitment to our programs," Lyons said.

The Danville 200 Club has been a consistent partner in advancing athletics throughout the district, helping to ensure safer and better-equipped environments for all athletes.
