The Danville Athletic Department is inviting the community to its Meet the Team Chicken Dinner Fundraiser, which will be held on Friday, Aug. 8 at the Tough Street Stadium.
As the perfect lead-in to the fall sports season, this community event features a crowd-favorite chicken dinner served before the first scrimmage. It's a great chance to gather with fellow fans and celebrate Danville’s student-athletes.
During the evening, guests will meet the Fall sports teams and the Danville Band, both ready to bring energy and pride to the stadium.
The event also offers a preview of the newly upgraded Tough Street Stadium, a major project led by the Danville Athletic Boosters and Turf Committee. The stadium will feature a synthetic turf surface that allows athletes to train and compete in all weather conditions. Designed to benefit all athletic programs, the facility represents a bold step forward for Danville’s sports community.
"We believe our strong sports program drives quality schools," Danville Athletics stated early this year. "With the current field in disrepair, investing in better facilities can help ensure the long term sustainability of our athletic excellence.
The Danville Local School District is appreciative of the generous support shown toward the Tough Street Stadium project.
