Mount Vernon Nazarene University has announced changes for SonFest 2025, the university's one-day Christian music festival. The event is set for Saturday, September 20, 2025, and will take place in the newly-renovated R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium, ensuring it can proceed regardless of weather conditions.
The festival's lineup includes worship and alternative rock performances, with ELEVATION RHYTHM as the headliner. Other performers include John Mark McMillan, Citizens, and Rock City Worship from central Ohio. Additional artists will be announced later.
ELEVATION RHYTHM represents the youth expression of Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. John Mark McMillan is known for his platinum-selling songwriting and unique style. Citizens gained attention with their debut in 2011 and are recognized for their energetic music rooted in faith. Rock City Worship hails from Columbus and combines praise with local influence.
Tickets are available at mvnu.edu/sonfest but are limited due to venue capacity. A complete schedule of events will be released soon.
In keeping with tradition, SonFest will also feature outdoor activities open to everyone without charge. Food trucks and a vendor tent will offer refreshments and shopping opportunities. While concert entry requires a ticket, outdoor activities remain free for all attendees.
