Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Schnormeier Gallery will host the exhibit "Latent Image — Brian Bäby Retrospective" from June 6 to August 1. The gallery will be open during its regular hours, Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., and also for First Friday events on June 6, July 3, and August 1 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The exhibition title, "Latent Image," refers to an invisible image created on photosensitive material by light exposure. Brian Bäby's work in photography, drawing, and sculpture explores light's role in defining subjects. His use of light helps viewers understand space, examine texture, and consider mood.
Schnormeier Gallery is located at 221 S. Main St., Mount Vernon, on the first floor of MVNU’s Buchwald Center. It aims to showcase diverse artistic expressions. Admission is free and open to all. For more information, contact the gallery at artgallery@mvnu.edu.
