The Utica Redskin Athletic Boosters are hosting their annual golf outing on June 6. The event will take place at The Links at Echo Springs, the home course for both Utica High School golf teams.
The entry fee is $100 per person and includes a round of golf, golf cart rental, and a hog roast lunch following the round.
Foursomes can pre-register using a form on the Utica Redskin Athletic Facebook page, with same-day registration also available starting at 8:00 a.m.
The round begins at 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start, meaning each team will begin at a designated hole simultaneously. Play is expected to conclude by 2:00 p.m., followed by lunch for each golfer.
Proceeds from the tournament will be collected by the Utica Redskin Athletic Boosters, whose mission is to provide uniforms and equipment for all Utica athletic programs. A recent example of how the funds are used is the Utica volleyball team, which received booster funding to purchase new uniforms.
A variety of cash prizes will be available, including a 50/50, a “Double Your Money Spot,” Longest Putt, and Longest Drive. The top prize is a $10,000 hole-in-one contest, with the designated hole sponsored by the Utica Animal Care Center.
The beverage cart, which will circulate the course during play, is sponsored by All Walls and Ceiling Systems, LLC. The event is presented by Crispin Iron & Metal, a recycling center for scrap and junk cars in Newark, Ohio.
