Mount Vernon City Schools recently held its annual Kiwanis Scholastic Recognition Awards Program at the Mount Vernon High School Theater. The event celebrated 158 students for their academic achievements and dedication, awarding them academic scholarships to support further education.
The ceremony was organized in collaboration with the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club, underscoring the district's commitment to student success and recognizing hard work in academics. Students from various grade levels were honored for their consistent academic performance, leadership, and community involvement.
Superintendent William Seder Jr. praised the students, stating, "These students represent the very best of Mount Vernon. Their accomplishments reflect not only personal dedication but also the support of families, educators, and the entire community."
