PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Knox County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the proposed PY 2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Critical Infrastructure grant applications. The hearing will be held in the large boardroom at the Commissioner’s Office, 117 East High Street, Suite 161, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
Knox County intends to apply for a $500,000 competitive Critical Infrastructure Grant to replace the water lines on Market Street in Danville. Of this, $470,000 will go towards the project and $30,000 for Administration. The project will meet the national objective of benefiting low-to-moderate-income persons.
Awards for the proposed grant will be announced in August 2025, and all work must be completed by August 2027.
Citizens are encouraged to attend the public hearing to provide input and comment on the proposed applications before they are submitted to the Ohio Department of Development on June 11, 2025
