Freshman Kaiden Gibson of Fredericktown High School has been named the Mount Vernon Player of the Week following an impressive performance at the plate over three games.
According to reports, Gibson achieved a batting average of 7-for-9 (.778) with four doubles, four RBIs, and five runs scored. The first-year player also recorded an on-base percentage of .833, significantly contributing to the Freddies’ offensive efforts throughout the week.
Gibson's performance demonstrated both consistency and power as he reached base in eight out of his nine plate appearances and delivered crucial hits to drive in runs. His contributions were pivotal in Fredericktown's recent successes and suggest a promising future for the young athlete. This is Gibson's first Player of the Week accolade.
