Mount Vernon, Ohio—Mount Vernon Nazarene University has appointed Rev. Jon Nicholas as Executive Director of Traditional Enrollment beginning June 1. Rev. Nicholas brings 25 years of experience in church ministry and leadership to the role, where he will manage the traditional enrollment division and support undergraduate recruitment efforts.
Rev. Rob Stanley, Vice President of Enrollment Management, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment. "We are thrilled to welcome Jon and his family back to the MVNU community," said Stanley. "Jon's extensive experience as an organizational leader, his deep ties to the MVNU community, and his proven ability to develop and inspire others make him the perfect fit to lead our traditional enrollment efforts. We are excited to see how his leadership will shape the future of our university and help us engage the next generation of students."
Nicholas' career includes founding Presence Driven Leadership Solutions LLC, where he guided church leaders with coaching and workshops. At The Woods Church, he developed a college degree program for leadership training, simultaneously leading The Woods Church School of Leadership and the Overflow Worship & Creative Conference. His long tenure as Worship and Creative Pastor at The Woods Church further illustrates his capacity to initiate programs that support growth.
Particularly meaningful is Nicholas' connection to MVNU, as both he and his wife, Rachel, are alumni. The family ties to MVNU are strong, with one daughter, Lilla, currently enrolled and partaking in the women's volleyball team, and their son Eli set to enter as a freshman and play men's soccer. Jon and Rachel also have a daughter, Halle, a senior at Olivet Nazarene University, and a son, Luca, who will be a high school sophomore.
