Thousands of Ohio employers are set to benefit from the education and resource sharing offered by their local safety council. Employers can also see premium savings from participating in the upcoming program year. Josh Lester, Assistant Fire Chief of the Mount Vernon Fire Department, will speak on chemicals, respirators, and spills at the event hosted at The Gallagher Centre.
The event provides an opportunity for employers to earn a 3 percent rebate on workers' compensation premiums. It also offers techniques for improving workplace safety, health, and wellness. Employers can network and share best practices within the community. Resources for accident prevention and strategies to reduce workers' compensation costs are part of the agenda. Participants will access risk management information, equipping them with resources and prevention strategies to make workplaces safer.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM EDT, at 1451 Gambier Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. Non-safety council members are required to pay a fee of $18.00, while pre-paid safety council members can attend free of charge.
