The Knox County Chamber of Commerce has announced a free educational event titled "Doc Talk: Trust Your Gut, It's Time to Get It Checked" featuring Dr. Aslam Syed, who joined Knox Community Hospital (KCH) in late 2024.
Dr. Syed is a specialist in gastroenterology and hepatology, focusing on the digestive system and liver issues, respectively. This event is timely given the increase in colorectal cancer, offering participants insights into various screening options for prevention.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in a question and answer session with Dr. Syed.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM EDT. It will be held in the Education Resource Room at the Knox Medical Center, which is located in the one-story building opposite the main hospital.
