Small business owners seeking to enhance their prospects are invited to a Certification Bootcamp hosted by the Columbus Minority Business Assistance Center. The event will focus on valuable certifications offered by the State of Ohio that can offer small businesses a competitive advantage.

The bootcamp will instruct attendees on how to obtain several certifications, namely Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran Friendly Business Enterprise, and Encouraging Diversity Growth and Equity (EDGE).

Tonya Boucher from Huntington Bank will discuss other local resources available to small business owners, such as access to capital through initiatives like Lift Local. Participants are urged to bring digital or paper documents necessary for certification for review. Certification specialists will be present to offer document review services after the presentation.

Attendees will gain insight into each certification's details, application tips, and the benefits and opportunities provided through certification. The event also offers networking opportunities with other business owners and certification experts.

The Columbus Minority Business Assistance event is set to take place at the Knox County Chamber of Commerce in Mount Vernon, Ohio, on April 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EDT. Attendance is free, but registration is required to ensure adequate seating and materials.

The event is sponsored by the Minority Business Assistance Center, which is hosted by the Columbus Urban League. For more information on document requirements, participants can refer to the provided links.
