In a season-opening game at Madison Plains, Daniel Lemaster of Centerburg delivered a notable performance despite the team's defeat.
According to reports, the Centerburg senior was impressive on the mound, maintaining a no-hitter into the sixth inning. He concluded with six innings pitched, allowing one hit, two earned runs, five walks, and achieving 17 strikeouts—just one short of tying the school record.
Lemaster also contributed offensively by going 3-for-5 in the Trojans’ narrow 5-4 loss to Madison Plains. Although Centerburg narrowly missed victory in their opener, Lemaster's dual contributions highlighted his importance as both a pitcher and a hitter. His performance sets a high standard for the upcoming season and has earned him Player of the Week honors.
