WNZR 90.9 FM, affiliated with Mount Vernon Nazarene University, is gearing up for its annual fundraising event, Lifeline 2025. The campaign will run from March 26 to March 31, aiming to raise $75,000. This year’s theme, "Made For These Days," draws inspiration from Jeremy Camp's song "These Days" and Ephesians 2:10.
Marcy Rinehart, WNZR Station Manager and co-host of The Morning Thing, expressed her thoughts on the theme: “In August 2024, we prayerfully chose our Lifeline 2025 theme, trusting that God was already at work. We believed then, and know now, that His plan is woven into the powerful words of Jeremy Camp’s song.” She added that the theme verse offers a promise of God's plan and purpose for their lives.
Joe Rinehart, MVNU’s Director of Broadcasting and co-host of WNZR’s Afternoon Drive, shared his belief in the message: “I wholeheartedly believe in Jeremy Camp’s message – we were Made For These Days! Life hits us in many ways... This song reminds us that God has a plan for us.”
Abby Almodovar and Josiah Pletcher, students majoring in Communication and Media at MVNU, also shared their reflections on the theme. Almodovar noted the comfort in knowing she is where she needs to be for a reason. Pletcher emphasized using one's abilities to glorify God.
The station will offer appreciation gifts for donations at different levels during the campaign. All donors will receive a Lifeline 2025 refrigerator magnet among other gifts based on contribution amounts.
