Mount Vernon Jacket Boosters Club offers scholarship

The Mount Vernon High School Jacket Boosters are proud to offer a scholarship opportunity for outstanding seniors who have demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, and community involvement.

The Jacket Boosters Scholarship is designed to recognize and support students who have made significant contributions to their school and community, while preparing to pursue higher education at a four-year accredited college.

To be eligible for the Jacket Boosters Scholarship, applicants must have:

1. Earned a minimum of one varsity letter
2. Maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA throughout their academic journey.
3. Plan to attend a four-year accredited college following graduation.

Interested students are encouraged to submit their completed application forms by May 13th, 2025.  Application forms are available in the Guidance Office.

Applications can be mailed to Jacket Boosters, P.O. 776, Mount Vernon, OH, 43050. It can also be submitted to the MVHS Athletic Office.

Aspiring students will also be asked to provide responses to the following questions:

• List sports you have participated in at Mount Vernon High School and awards and honors received.
• List school organizations of which you are a member and offices or leadership positions.
• List any scholastic awards and honors.
• Where do you plan to further your education following graduation?
• How has your family been involved in Jacket Boosters activities?  
• Please write a brief statement as to how playing high school sports has impacted your life.

The Mount Vernon Athletic Booster Club is committed to support the athletic programs at the Mount Vernon High School and Middle School. It works with the Athletic Department in achieving shared goals through several activities like fundraising and community events.
