A tire recycling event is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, at the Knox County Fairgrounds. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. up to noon or earlier if the trailers reach capacity, according to the Knox County Recycling and Litter Prevention.
"This event is open to all residents, providing an opportunity to properly dispose of unwanted tires," The City of Mount Vernon, Ohio announced on Facebook.
The event ensures a focused service for the local community. To participate, residents are required to pay $10, which covers the recycling of up to five tires. Participating in this tire recycling event allows Knox County residents to contribute to a cleaner, greener community. This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for proper tire disposal, promoting environmental awareness and community involvement.
Residents with questions about the event can reach out for more information. They can call 740.393.9520 or send an email to Questions@MountVernonOhio.org.
In addition to tire recycling, Knox County offers monthly electronic recycling on the first Friday of each month. Electronics can be dropped off at the Gambier Community Center or at Opportunity Knox, located at 17604 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH.
