The story of "Beauty and the Beast" originated in France in the mid-18th century as "La belle et la bête." It gained global popularity through various adaptations. Disney's animated version premiered in November 1991 and was notable for being nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award. Alan Menken and Howard Ashman won Oscars for Best Score and Best Song with "Beauty and the Beast." The musical later became one of Broadway's longest-running shows.

"Beauty and the Beast JR." follows Belle, an adventurous girl, who encounters a prince cursed into a beastly form. To break the spell, he must learn to love another before time runs out. With help from enchanted staff members like a teapot, candelabra, and mantel clock, Belle discovers friendship and love with the Beast.

Attendees can purchase light-up roses for $5 to enhance their experience during key moments of the show.

Disney’s "Beauty and the Beast JR." is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. More information about licensing Disney shows can be found at www.DisneyMusicals.com.
