The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging is now accepting applications for its 2025 Scholarship Program, offering three scholarships to individuals dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of seniors and people with disabilities.

“The 2025 Scholarship Program is open for submission! Apply today if you haven't already! Submissions will be accepted now through March 15th, 2025,” the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging said on Facebook.

“The Area Agency on Aging Foundation Board elected to provide three scholarship awards this year to individuals for higher education or classes benefitting the field of aging.” “Let's make a difference together.”

The scholarship program is an initiative of the Area Agency on Aging Foundation Board, which has committed to supporting individuals pursuing higher education or training that benefits the aging community.

These scholarships are awarded annually to those who demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the lives of older adults or individuals with disabilities.

To qualify, applicants must be high school graduates or have obtained their GED.

High school seniors graduating in 2025 are not eligible for this year's scholarship but can apply for the next cycle in 2026-2027, which will open in December 2026.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc., which serves a wide range of communities across North Central Ohio.

The agency provides essential services to over 300,000 individuals each year through its Aging and Disability Resource Network call centers.

The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging serves the counties of Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca and Wyandot.
