Lauretta Eileen King, 90, of Sunbury, and formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away on Feb. 11, 2025 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on June 25,1934, in Rising Sun, Indiana to the late Charles and Lela Alford (Manser).
Lauretta was a graduate of Rising Sun High School and was a devoted pastor’s wife to Richard for 65 years and mother of seven children.
She loved her family deeply. She prayed for her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids daily. She was known for her kind, gentle spirit and greeted all who knew her with a smile. She enjoyed taking care of her home and cooking meals for her large family. But most important was her relationship with her Lord. Her deepest desire was to honor Him with her life, and she desired all who knew her to do the same. We rejoice today knowing she is with her husband, Richard, and her savior Jesus, forever.
Lauretta is survived by her daughters Krista Henry, Kathy (Terry) Waller, Cheryl (Greg) Sharpes, and Gina (Hadi) Khouri; her sons, Mark (Shelly) King, Mike (Lydia) King, and David (Faith) King; 29 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday, Feb.17 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Westerville Church of the Nazarene, 355 Cherrington Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081. A service will follow, beginning at 10 a.m., with Rev. Mike King officiating.
