PUBLIC NOTICE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the Knox County Engineer 2025 Roadside Mowing Program will be accepted by the Knox County Board of Commissioners, at the office of the Commissioners, 117 East High Street, Suite 161, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, until 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 27, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Complete specifications, including contract and proposal forms and full information for bidders may be obtained from the Knox County Engineer’s Office, 422 Columbus Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
Sealed envelopes containing bids must be addressed to the Knox County Board of Commissioners, 117 East High Street, Suite 161, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, and endorsed on the outside of the envelope, “Knox County Engineer 2025 Roadside Mowing Program”.
If the bid is in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) a Bid Surety in the form of a bond or certified check, cashier’s check, or money order on a solvent bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid pursuant to Section 307.88 of the Ohio Revised Code. Official checks and Company checks are not acceptable forms of Bid Surety.
A contract, if let, will be awarded to the bidder submitting the lowest and best bid. If, in the opinion of the Board, the acceptance of the lowest bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, the Board may accept another proposal so opened or reject all proposals and advertise for other bids. The Board reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
