Mount Vernon Nazarene University has announced an upcoming exhibition titled "Retro," featuring the artwork of Jeremie Riggleman. The exhibit will be displayed at Schnormeier Gallery from January 9 to March 14, with a temporary closure from February 24 through March 7 due to MVNU’s spring break.

The "Retro" exhibition showcases Riggleman's artistic journey as he explores themes related to place and culture. His work ranges from lawn art inspired by the Midwest landscape to photographs of St. Simons Island in Georgia. Through his manipulation of images, Riggleman creates narratives that challenge perceptions and evoke memories. His use of color and texture invites viewers into his creative process.

A special gallery talk with Riggleman is scheduled for February 13 at 6 p.m., followed by a reception until 8 p.m. This event offers attendees an opportunity to engage directly with the artist and learn more about his work and inspirations.

Jeremie D. Riggleman, originally from Michigan, is an artist and educator based in Indiana. He spent much of his life in the Midwest but developed much of his visual style while living in Los Angeles. Riggleman's work has been exhibited widely, including at venues such as the Museum of Art and History in Lancaster, California, Coagula Curatorial in Los Angeles, Oceanside Museum of Art, Riverside Art Museum, Westmont College, Concordia University Irvine, Gallery 825 in West Hollywood, and il Palazzo della Provincia di Frosinone in Italy. His art is part of various public and private collections.
