Habitat for Humanity's ReStore holds grand opening

Knox County residents are invited to attend the grand opening of Knox County's Habitat for Humanity's ReStore.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony, announced by the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, will be held to mark the event on Friday, Jan. 31 at 12 p.m.

The ceremony, held at 405 West Chestnut Street - across from CES Credit Union - will showcase the store's new and expanded space for classes and residents to complete jobs that they may be working on.

The store was formerly located on Wooster Road.

According to the Habitat for Humanity of Knox County website, "ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity."
