The Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) women’s volleyball team had five players receive All-League honors from the Crossroads League on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Attacker Lyssi Snouffer earned First Team honors for her outstanding performance on the court. A dominant attacking force for the Lady Cougars, Snouffer averaged 4.6 kills per set, maintaining a .246 hitting percentage. Over the course of the season, Snouffer won the Crossroads League Attacker of the Week on seven different occasions. In addition to her offensive contributions, the senior averaged 3.68 digs per set and had a total of 42 blocks at the net.
Libby Evanshine, an outside hitter, was also recognized with First Team honors for her contributions throughout the season. The sophomore averaged 3.37 kills per set, while posting a strong .241 hitting percentage. At the net, she was a dominant presence, finishing the season with a total of 63 blocks.
Reagan Nuss, a standout setter, was awarded First Team recognition for her play-making ability. The junior totaled an impressive 1,117 assists (9.71 per set) while also contributing 78 kills. Nuss racked up 3.11 digs per set and finished with 33 blocks.
Libero Jaelyn Tang received Second Team honors. The junior continued to have a positive impact for the Lady Cougars, anchoring the team defensively with a team-high 514 digs (4.43 per set). Additionally, Tang contributed 96 assists and 41 service aces.
Lastly, Faith Maloney received Honorable Mention recognition. The junior hitter averaged 2.53 kills per set. Maloney was also a key contributor at the net, totaling 72 blocks.
