The Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County is encouraging local teenagers to come to the library for a creative holiday event on Monday, Dec. 2.

From 3 until 7 p.m. in the downstairs multipurpose room, those teens in sixth through twelfth grade, can construct a do-it-yourself personal snow globe.

"These can be great gifts for the upcoming holiday season," a library official said.

The library is located at 201 N. Mulberry Street in Mount Vernon.
