Centerburg running back Miles Marshall zips by the East Knox secondary on an 81-yard touchdown run | Cheryl Spain

For a team who was just shut out a week ago in a game against Danville, the Centerburg Trojans played with what could only be described as a fire under their behinds, as they completely annihilated the East Knox Bulldogs this past Friday, 40-6.

Right from the opening whistle, the Trojans showed they came to play. On their very first possession, running back Miles Marshall shook the Bulldog defenders and found his way in the end zone for a 38-yard scoring run. Marshall didn't stop there either, as he contributed two more massive touchdown runs of 61, and 81 yards just in the first quarter, and it gave the Trojans a 20-0 lead going into just the second quarter.

East Knox allowed Marshall to score another touchdown in the second quarter, but followed directly back with their first and only score of the night. Bulldogs running back Seymour Team found the end zone in a 1-yard run up the middle to make the score 27-6.

Centerburg came out in the second half with the commanding 27-6 lead, and continued to wreak havoc on the field. Scoring twice more, Trojans quarterback Blane Ball found the endzone in the third quarter on a 26-yard run, while teammate Chris Marshall scored the final touchdown of the night on an 11-yard run.

Ball had a solid night behind center as he threw for 83 yards on 9-12 passing attempts, while also rushing the ball for 71 yards and a touchdown.

The performance of the night most definitely had to go to Miles Marshall though, as he ran for a season high of 292 yards and four touchdowns.

For East Knox, Team led the rushing attack on the ground and established 66 yards and a touchdown on 22 rush attempts.
