Orange Barrel Production Company (OBPC) presents the beloved classic, “Anne of Green Gables: The Early Years,” written by Lucy Maud Montgomery and adapted for the OBPC stage.

Please join us as we journey back in time to the turn of the 20th century. Young orphaned Anne Shirley, played by 11-year-old Willow Barnard of Mount Vernon, Ohio, is sent to Prince Edward Island only to find that spinster siblings Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert have requested a boy not a girl.

Despite her fiery temper and propensity to find trouble, can she change their mind and find her forever home?

Join us on the historic Crossroads stage located on the campus of the Mount Vernon Developmental Center as we perform this delightful and poignant story.

Performance dates are Oct. 11-12 and Oct. 18-19. Ticketing is general admission seating with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7 p.m. The show’s run time is approximately one hour. Tickets are $10 each (children 3 and under are free) and can be purchased online at ohiodrama.com, will call or at the theater door with cash, check or credit card.
