Interested participants for the Annual Float Parade are invited to register on or before Nov. 16. | Experience Mount Vernon

Experience Mount Vernon has announced that registration for its upcoming 2025 Mount Vernon Holiday Parade must be submitted no later than Sunday, Nov. 16.

Interested groups and businesses are encouraged to apply early, as submission does not guarantee acceptance. The events committee reserves the right to decline any float application and will notify applicants via email if their entry is not approved.

Entries can be registered via the Google Form at this link: https://forms.gle/poPk9tkTG5EJfWa6A.

This year’s theme is "Once Upon a Holiday," featuring a storybook celebration, according to Experience Mount Vernon.

Award categories for the parade include Best Overall, sponsored by Burrata Woodfired, and Judges' Choice, sponsored by Community Roots.

Additional honors include Best Agriculture Entry and Best Waling Group, both sponsored by Conway's Pharmacy; Best Youth Entry, sponsored by 90.9 FM WNZR and Mount Vernon Nazarene University; and Best Equestrian Entry, sponsored by Emily Morrison Arts.

Several sponsorship opportunities remain available at $300 each, including Most Spiritied Entry, Best Business Entry, Best Automobile Entry, Best Club or Service Organization Entry, and Most Humourous Entry.

Businesses and organizations participating in the parade are required to clearly display their names on their floats so announcers and judges can easily identify each entry. Judging will be conducted by Community Roots.

The parade will take place Sunday, Nov. 30, in downtown Mount Vernon, with a rain date set for Dec. 7. The line-up is set to begin at 2:15 p.m., followed by entry judging at 3:15 p.m., and the parade will officially step off at 4 p.m. on South Main Street.

Parade logistics and final instructions will be distributed to confirmed participants during the week of Nov. 17. For questions or additional information, contact Experience Mount Vernon by phone or text at (741) 393-1481 or email director@experiencemv.org.
