Knox Public Health will offer a free Ohio Person in Charge Food Safety Training Course on June 24. The course does not qualify as level 2 manager certification.
According to a Knox Public Health Facebook post, the course will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on June 24 at Knox Public Health, located at 11660 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon.
Completing this training allows a person to be responsible for operations throughout a shift, according to Knox Public Health. Every food service operation or retail food establishment must have a designated individual in charge for each shift. Typically, a shift manager or supervisor holds this responsibility.
Registration for the course can be completed by emailing rbelford@knoxhealth.com or calling 740-392-2200, ext. 2222, with your name, phone number, and email address. According to Knox Public Health, a free certificate will be given upon completion.
