Case S-P2400624

On April 6, 2024 a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Walhonding Rd passing the high water warning signs and multiple road closure signs, and drove into high water. This resulted in the vehicle getting stuck in the water and deputies and fire personnel responding to implement a water rescue. The driver of the vehicle was cited for reckless operation.

On 07 April, a Knox County Deputy responded to a residence in Centerburg in reference to a dog attacking a male. A Taser was deployed to get the dog off of the male and stop the attack. Other Deputies and the Dog Warden arrived and was able to capture the dog. The male was transported by medics. A report was filed.

On April 7, 2024 deputies and officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Johnson Avenue, Mount Vernon, in reference to a burglary in progress. The suspect was located, arrested, and transported to the Knox County Jail.

On 4/8/2024 A deputy was dispatched to Gambier Rd. on a non injury crash. Complainant stated that while pulling over for emergency services he was struck in the rear by another vehicle. A report was made and a citation was issued to the at fault driver. Nothing further at this time.

On April 8th, 2024 deputies were dispatched to a residence on Mink Street for a active disturbance. One subject was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail. Another subject was cited and given a mandatory court date.

On April 10, 2024 deputies were dispatched to an address on Newcastle Road, Gambier in reference to a stolen motorcycle. Deputies collected photographs and a witness statement. The motorcycle was entered into L.E.A.D.S as stolen.

On April 10, 2024 deputies went to a residence on Northview Drive, Mount Vernon to serve an arrest warrant. Contact

was made with the wanted suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Knox County Jail.
