On March 21, 2024 a complainant on Granville Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio contacted the Knox County Sheriff's Office to report an injured deer in their back yard. A deputy arrived on scene and dispatched the deer using his office issued sidearm.

On Thursday March 21st, 2024 deputies along with Adult Probation, went to a residence on Coshocton Road. A male was arrested on a outstanding warrant and transported to the Knox County Jail.
