Lemmon Development is set to present its proposal to the Mount Vernon Municipal Planning Commission, seeking approval for a multi-family project property on Upper Gilchrist Road. The proposed development includes 108 villa units and 48 apartment units, which would be constructed on a 33.9-acre property at a density of 4.6 units per acre.
According to the developer's statement of development standards attached to the Mount Vernon Municipal Planning Commission's agenda for its February 8 meeting, the villa units will exceed 1,200 square feet and the apartment units will exceed 700 square feet of living space. This complies with zoning ordinance requirements.
In addition, Lemmon Development reported that the project would consist of two, four, and six-unit villas along with eight-unit apartment buildings. An open area is planned behind these structures.
The developer also stated that all buildings will be single-story constructions. The apartment buildings are not expected to exceed 24 feet in height while the villa units will not surpass 21 feet.
