Knox Technical Center is excited to announce an Open House for its new cosmetology lab. The open house will take place on Friday, Jan. 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. There will be information for those interested in attending our upcoming Cosmetology or Nail Technician program, which both begin later this year, as well as services that are available to the public.
In the past, Knox Technical Center shared the Cosmetology Lab at the Knox County Career Center in the evenings.
“Having a lab in our own building allows us to have more control over when we run our classes,” said KTC Cosmetology Program Coordinator Brie Strait. “Previously, when sharing with KCCC, we were limited to only having classes in the evening. Now, we have the ability to hold classes earlier in the day and hopefully capture a new range of students.”
Current students are also very excited to have their own new space to learn and work in. Knox Technical Center is located at 308 Martinsburg Rd in Mount Vernon. All are welcome to attend the Open House.
