"We certainly didn't play our best,” said Coach Tyler Bates. It was ugly early, but I was proud of the girls for being tough and blowing the game open in the second and third quarters. It’s nice to have Corri in situations like that to keep us going. She had a massive triple double tonight.”

Northmor was led by Alexis See, who had 13 points. Claire Tackett scored eight points, Maizy Brinkman had six points, Shelby Cooper had four points and Ryann Brinkman scored three points.

The Vermilya sisters were at it again for the Loudonville Redbirds, combining for 48 points to lead the way in a 75-45 road win over Alliance (3-8, 2-3) on Dec. 23.

Corri Vermilya just missed recording a triple double, with game highs across the board with 28 points, nine boards, seven steals and four assists. Mya Vermilya also had a hot hand and continued to be one of the top freshmen basketball players out there. She had 20 points, six boards, two assists and two steals.

Corri has been the top player in the conference in the first half of the season, having an even better senior season than last year where she was accolade after accolade. Mya has provided for an incredible second option for scoring, and it is just the beginning for the young Redwing.

Spangler has also been integral in the team’s success this season, and she hit double figures against the Aviators with 11 points. She also played well on defense with four steals, while snagging three rebounds. Addison Wolford was also productive in the win with seven points, four boards, three steals and two assists.
