Case M-P2304280 

On December 13, 2023 at approximately 3:40 P.M., I responded to The Main Place, located at 117 West High Street, for a reported fire. 

After an investigation, it was determined that the suspect was Elijah Desich. He was soon located nearby and then attempted to flee from officers. He was arrested and charged with Arson and Obstructing Official Business.

On December 14th 2023 at approximately 12:40 P.M, I was dispatched to The Public Library at 201 North Mulberry Street for a fraud.

On December 15, 2023 at 11:11 AM, I was dispatched to 670 North Sandusky Street for a theft. 

Report not needed. It was found no crime was committed after reviewing video footage.

On Friday, December 15, 2024, a male who lives on N. Mulberry St. reported a vandalism. 

No suspects at this time.

On December 15th, 2023 at approximately 1:58 P.M. I met with an individual in the area of 1558 Coshocton Avenue in reference to a found property complaint. 

The items were collected and disposed of.

On December 15th, 2023 at approximately 2:17 P .M. I contacted an individual near the intersection of Vernon View and Eastwood Drive. 

Two males were issued a Summons in Lieu of Arrest and given a court date.

On December 16th, 2023 at approximately 10:39 A.M. Units from the Mount Vernon Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of Howard Street in reference to a disturbance. 

One male was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

On Saturday, December 16, 2023, The Nazarene College reported a trespassing at 800 Martinsburg Rd. 

Report was forwarded to City Prosecutor for review.

On December 17th, 2023 at approximately 4:29 P.M., officers were dispatched to the area of Mount Vernon Avenue in reference to a drug overdose.
