Attorney Scott Pullins, from Knox County, officially registered his candidacy on Wednesday for the Republican nomination for state representative in Ohio House District 98.
"State Representative is not an entry-level job or for untested political newcomers," said Pullins in a press release issued by his campaign on Dec. 13. "We've already seen too much turmoil in the Ohio House from infighting and immature members. It's time to start electing highly experienced and tested representatives again."
According to a press release issued by his campaign, Pullins is an Ohio attorney and a political consultant. He also serves as a charter school board member and maintains a career as a writer. His lobbying efforts have been directed towards small businesses, taxpayer groups, an education nonprofit, an alternative medical association, and wildlife issues at the statehouse.
Ohio House District 98 encompasses most of Knox County and all of Coshocton and Holmes Counties, as per another press release from Pullins' campaign. In his unsuccessful August 2022 primary race against incumbent Darrell Kick, Pullins fell short by 684 votes.
Pullins is affiliated with the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA). According to another press release from his campaign, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University in 1997 after attending Ohio University. He obtained a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in 2003. For more information about Pullins' campaign, visit www.scottpullins.org.
