No. 4 Mansfield Senior (10-3, 7-0) had the daunting task of facing undefeated No. 1 Central Catholic (13-0, 7-0), and the Irish did what they’ve done now for 28 straight games, beating the Tygers 41-10 in the regional semifinals of the Division III, Region 10 tournament

The Tygers went up 10-0 in the game on a 55-yard touchdown run by Duke Reese and a Quinten DeBolt 39-yard field goal that followed a fumble recovery. That would be all for the Tygers, however, as the Irish scored 41 unanswered points to secure the win. Terry Collins was 7-for-9 for 169 yards and a pair of scores to lead the Irish. 

The Irish move on to the finals to face No. 3 Tiffin Columbian in the regional finals.
