At Stake: The Blue Devils look to stay unbeaten and move forward in the Division VII, Region 25 state tournament against a tough Springfield squad.

What to Watch: 

Danville has had quite the season, led by KMAC Coach of the Year Matt Blum and KMAC Player of the Year Walker Weckesser. Walker is coming off a game where he threw for four scores and rushed for two. He was 10-for-15 for 157 yards in the 51-7 rout of McDonald in the opening round, and also had 22 rushing yards.

Cole Delaughder was one of the best running backs in KMAC during the regular season and last week he looked the part with 142 yards on 13 carries and a score. He also caught four passes for 55 yards and a touchdown, giving him 197 yards of offense.

Nate Stephens is a weapon in the air and on defense, as he caught a touchdown pass and also had an interception.

Watch for Josh Byers and Caleb Lucas on defense. Byers is coming off an 11 tackle performance, and got to the quarterback for a sack. Lucas had 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

The Blue Devils have crushed opponents throughout the season, outscoring them 518-152.

Springfield has outscored opponents 357-151 and last week beat Monroeville 35-21.

The Tigers are led by senior QB Kolten Ruark, who has 851 yards and 10 passing touchdowns, with two picks. He has also tallied 105 rushing yards and a pair of scores.

Kaesen Kosek has 141 carries for 821 yards and 11 touchdowns. Dylan Sheely is the top receiver with 31 catches for 411 yards and four scores.
