Donald R. Blubaugh, age 86, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1937, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of Anastasius and Ida (Fano) Blubaugh. Don served in the United States Army and was a charter member of the Seventh-day Adventist City Church in Mount Vernon.

In his free time, Don enjoyed photography, classic cars, trains, and the history of World War II. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that was be missed by his family and friends.

Don is survived by his daughters, Amy (John) Meeker of Mount Vernon and Alissa (Josh) Elliott of Howard, two stepsons, Richard (Angie) Farley of Gambier and Jason (Laci) Farley of Howard, six grandchildren, Aubrey Meeker, Alivia and Blake Elliott, Raven Farley, Sidnie and Lathon Farley, a sister, Mary Lee (Tom) Stream of Gambier.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Blubaugh.

Friends may call on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. A graveside service with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council was followed at 1:30 p.m. in Mound View Cemetery.
