No. 13 Danville (6-17, 3-9) was swept in the first round of the Division IV Central 1- Sectional/District tournament by No. 10 Sugar Grove Berne Union (8-16, 4-10) on Oct. 16, despite an all-around solid performance by senior McKenzie Neitzelt.
The Rockets won with set scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-18.
Neitzelt was the leader of the Blue Devils, tallying eight kills, two blocks, nine digs and 10 assists in her final game in a Danville volleyball uniform. Fellow seniors Delaney Alvis and Hope Moore had 19 digs and seven digs respectively. Moore added six kills and Alvis had a kill. Zoey Neitzelt had seven blocks in the match. McKenzie Holt recorded seven digs.
