Centerburg (2-3) jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never relinquished it against Loudonville (2-3), defeating the Redbirds 37-15, at Centerburg Football Stadium.

Trojan senior Mason Turske opened the scoring with a punt return for a touchdown. Then, quarterback Jesse Rings scored on a 13 yard keeper to make it 14-0 after one quarter.

Rings, a senior, had 13 carries for 30 yards on the night. He also completed six of nine passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns, the first of which to Turske-- a 14 yarder-- in the second quarter to make it 21-0.

Loudonville finally got on the board with a safety, and a 12 yard touchdown run by Cam Beachy, making the score 21-8 at halftime.

Redbirds' quarterback Matt Sprang connected with Beachy on a 48-yard touchdown pass early in the third quarter, pulling Loudonville to within a single score, 21-15.

But Centerburg pulled away. Rings responded with a 25 yard touchdown pass to 5'9, 150 pound junior wide receiver Isaiah Sule.

In the fourth quarter, Sule added a 15 yard touchdown rush and the Trojans' Daniel LeMaster kicked a 25 yard field goal.

Defensively, Carson Ross (6.5 tackles), Shane White (5.5 tackles), Tommy Hause (4 tackles), Aiden Anderson (4 tackles) and Austin Townley (3 tackles) led Centerburg. Rings had three interceptions and Turske had one of his own.

For Loudonville, Sprang completed 10 of 22 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown, but threw four interceptions. Beachy had two receptions for 60 yards and ran three times for 18 yards.

For Centerburg, Sule ran seven times for 43 yards and Blane Ball, six times for 40 yards.

Next Week, Centerburg plays at Cardington-Lincoln (1-4), a 32-0 loser to East Knox (3-2) on Friday night.

Loudonville hosts undefeated Danville (5-0), a 32-21 winner over Northmor (3-2).
