East Knox High School 32, Cardington-Lincoln 0
East Knox Bulldogs shut out visiting Pirates in last Friday's home conference game.
The Bulldogs made the game difficult for the Pirates to make a lead as East Knox hauled a 26-0 lead at halftime. They added 6 more points in the last quarter, cutting off any last hope the Pirates had of winning the game.
East Knox High who in the prior game also won against Centerburg, will face Mt. Gilead on Sept. 22.
Mount Vernon High School 14, Ashland 31
Yellowjackets scored first, on a six-yard run by Jonny Askew. The scores were eventually tied at the end of the first quarter.
The Arrows dominated the Jackets despite the latter's effort to score in the third quarter. Quarterback Nathan Bernhard largely contributed to Ashland's victory. He executed a nine-yard keeper with just 4:46 left in the first quarter and had also secured the lead for his team in the second quarter after throwing a 31-yard touchdown pass on a fourth-and-3, linking with junior wide receiver Michael Franz. In the later part of the game, Hayden DiPuccio scored a touchdown for the Arrows from a four-yard distance, extending their lead to 31-14.

Neither Fredericktown nor Mt. Gilead scored in the first quarter. The Indians then held a 7-0 advantage over the Freddies. But Fredericktown avenged and started piling up scores against the opponent and eventually defeated Mt. Gilead.

In last Friday's home conference game, Northmor was added to the list of the squad they have defeated. The Golden Knights bowed down to the Blue Devils in each quarter. While they were able to prevent Danville from scoring in the third quarter, their scores were not enough to halt the Blue Devils' winning streak.
Danville completed a total of 418 yards, while Northmor managed 245 yards in the game.
