COLUMBUS – Free book program for children up to age 5! Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio, you have an excellent opportunity to share the joy of reading with the little ones in your life! This free book-gifting service allows all Ohio children up to age 5 to receive an age-appropriate book every month. Previous books mailed out include, “The Little Engine That Could,” “Llama Llama Red Pajama,” and “The Tale of Peter Rabbit.” Books arrive wrapped and with the child’s name on them.

Whether you are an older Ohioan looking to bond with your young grandchildren, a Kinship Caregiver, or a passionate member of Ohio's aging network with youngsters of your own, take advantage of this incredible initiative and embark on a literary journey that will undoubtedly create cherished memories for a young child in your life while building a strong foundation for their future.

Inspired by Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine’s passion for improving the lives of Ohio’s children, the Ohio Governor's Imagination Library was established in 2019. Today, more than 50% of eligible children in Ohio are enrolled in the program. Don't miss this chance to make a positive impact on the young children of Ohio and help them unlock the limitless possibilities that reading has to offer.
