Most Americans take their participation in our democracy seriously and value that responsibility. In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to let each state make determinations about reproductive rights, it’s key that this issue be put on the ballot for Ohioans to vote. We now have the opportunity to sign a petition, researched and written by a group of Ohio physicians, entitled “The Right to Reproductive Freedom with the Protection for Health and Safety.” If the petitions get enough signatures, the issue will be on the ballot in November so that voters can have their say.
Time is of the essence. One place the petition is available to be signed is the Knox County Democratic Headquarters, 9 East Vine St., Mount Vernon. Please stop in and sign during the next few weeks. Hours are:
- Saturday, May 6, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, May 7, noon to 5 p.m.
