State Sen. Andrew O. Brenner (R-Delaware) toured Ohio Senate District 19 while the legislature was on break.

“Even tho we’re technically on break, I’ve been in Holmes, Greene, Knox, Franklin and Delaware Counties touring schools and meeting constituents,” Brenner said on Facebook.

“The Greene County Career Center is very impressive – what an amazing facility to train the next generation to come out of high school with high-paying jobs. I also toured Central State University, the all-black land grant university, where they’re doing terrific things in agriculture unlike anywhere else in the country. I met with Amish kids, homeschoolers, superintendents, teachers, parents, community leaders and others. It’s great having this time to get around the state and see people face to face!"

The Ohio State Legislature reconvened on April 25.

Before going to break, Brenner passed a bill the allowed for a homestead tax exemption for the surviving spouses of disabled veterans.

Brenner is in his second term as senator. He previously represented the 67th and 2nd Districts in the Ohio State House beginning in 2010.

Brenner’s 19th Senate District includes Delaware, Knox, Holmes and Coshocton counties.

He has received endorsements from the National Federation of Independent Business - Ohio PAC, Ohio Chamber of Commerce PAC, Ohio Nurses Association, Ohio Real Estate Investors Association and the Ohio State Medical Association PAC.
